50 DKP Minus

Nostalgia:
I watched a video today of the Onyxia encounter from level 60 and it reminded me of how much fun that fight was. It required the organization and cooperation of 40 skilled individuals with one thing in mind: Tier 1 loot! Onyxia dropped the helm of the first epic gear set for each class. But this set piece came with a price. Sure most people had farmed the dragon for months before the release of BC, but I can remember the blood, sweat, and tears that went into killing her for the first time as a guild. I vividly remember dying on deep breaths, whelp packs, and during the transitions from phase to phase on my rogue. Ahh, those were the days! Of course there are other reasons to be excited about the new Onyxia's lair. Reasons like loot!

Purps:
In vanilla, Onyxia dropped some of the best loot attainable at level 60, and so accordingly, Blizzard has made her loot table at 80 equally as impressive. Personally, I can't wait to equip a Keen Obsidian Edged Blade for myself.

Onyxia mount:
Imagine having the legendary Onyxia under your complete control forever. Thats right, she drops a mount that is identical to her in graphic model! Get ready to give everyone on your server a severe case of mount envy! I can't wait to idle in front of banks during cataclysm on Onyxia...

So what else does patch 3.2.2 have to offer for Ret Paladins? Well, the only change that really applies to the Ret tree is the new Seal of Command.
Seal of Command: This ability now chains to strike up to two additional targets when it is triggered by an attack that can only strike a single target.
Seal of cleave has arrived! This seal will help make up for a loss in aoe dps due to the removal of Seal of Blood/Seal of the Martyr in the 3.2 patch. This will probably be our go-to seal for a majority of large trash pulls from this point forward. It will also be a great addition to our arsenal for 3s and 5s cleave comps. Although I haven't done any testing yet, I would imagine the new Seal of Command coupled with a Warrior's Bladestorm will be a very deadly cleave comp. Warrior/Ret would have limited peel abilities so I would think that a Resto Druid would be best for healing this setup. I'm a bit curious as to how the rest of the WoW community will react to the new Seal of Command.

One more thing.

Seal of Corruption and Seal of Vengeance: These seals will now only use the debuff stacks generated by the attacking paladin to determine the damage done by the seal and by the judgement.

This was a bit vague I think. Before this fix, if two Paladins were both building Seal of Vengeance, the procs would be based off of the lowest stack of SoV for both Paladins. This is the bug that was fixed.

I just got home from work and I'm itching to get a few hours with Smashie and the new patch. What are you guys looking forward to the most about the new patch? The new Onyxia encounter or the new Seal of Command?
