Droid Incredible - Taking Big Red to Another Level

Over the course of last week, it was announced that Verizon would be officially launching the Droid Incredible (made by HTC) on April 29th.  Truth be told, if you're not into gadgets and cell phones, you most likely have a very limited knowledge of this impressive device.  However, this smartphone has had a few brief appearances and a nip slip or two within the geek community, giving it quite the nerd herd following.

So what exactly is the Droid Incredible and what does it have to offer?  Well, lets begin with a few specs, shall we?

In my opinion, this is the smartphone that will push Big Red (Verizon) to another level of doing business.  To date, Verizon has had a very tight selection of quality smart phones available to their huge customer base.  The closest they have to a competition-level smart phone is the Motorolla Droid, which is already outdated in terms of hardware.  While I am in no way discrediting the power and the quality of the Moto Droid, it simply will not be able to compete on the same level as the Droid Incredible, EVO 4G, and iphone 4g will.

The Droid Incredible is a savior to many Verizon customers who have been wanting a great touchscreen phone with a satisfying user experience for a very long time.  It goes on preorder on April 19th (today), and will arrive in Verizon stores on April 29th.  Coming from a tired and frustrated Crackberry user, it would be in your best interest not to get between me and the nearest Verizon Wireless on that day!  I can't wait to get my foot in the door of the mobile gaming scene, finally!  If I can get ahold of a respectable web cam before April 29th, I will possibly do an unboxing video, as well as a video review.
